Introducing... LIN FAMILY

The Dad

• First male species (Other then the doctor [if the doctor is a HE] who helped in the labour) i came in contact with.
• Handy man in the house, always coming to the rescue when a bulb fuse and etc
• Skeptical and unfriendly to which ever guy i bring home
• Has great interest in FISHES, anything that associate with his cable TVs and amplifiers and GAMBLING, ohh.. FOOD too!
• Not very educated, a wild bull (My ah ma always call him this! Not me!) and poor in chinese (always cheer us up with the mistakes he made while speaking CHINESE)
• Little communication
• Cares alot about the family, GREAT HUBBY & Daddy (except for the communcation part)
• The PUNISHER

Wonderful Memories about Dad

• The first time when i came home late after tuition, Dad was waiting for me downstair, looking really worried... Awww
• I was late for work! He sent me to work with his Motorbike.. half way thru the journey it starts to rain and he let me have the one and only raincoat while he was drench... Double AWww
• Climbed up to his mountainous tummy (when i was Young), to wake him up

The Mum

• GREAT woman who went thru so much to breed a PARISITE like me (and my brother)...
• A workaholic and always out of town.
• Always smiling (Dun be decieved!) and happy infront of our relatives and friends
• Adventurous cook... always experimenting (experimental subjects: daughter, son and hubby) when she has the chance to.
• Deep interest in Feng Shui and gambling.. ohh.. and KTV (God! My ear drums!)
• Used to be my ATM machine! Sigh.. gone were those days.. has to earn $$ myself now
• Read alot, Full of knowledge, but at times too superstitious.
• Superb in Chinese (wonder why I didn't inherit the chinese genes), poor in English.
• Poor in Fashion Sense.. has to rely on her two parisites' expert opinion to look presentable! Haha! Evil me!

Great Moments with Mom

• Had a movie marathon with her (Mum and me never have those kind of daughter and mum shopping and outing before, cos she is always busy!) when i was in Secondary school..
• She came New York to look for me and held my hands really tight while I show her around NY.. Guess she misses me alot... (MISS HER TOO)
  

The Sister

• Read the Blog....

The Youngest

• A leech (Suck $$ not blood!) that always stuck in my mum and me
• My partner in crime..
• A Handsome and full of humour (Hate to admit) guy who always attract girls (ehh.. actually not just girl! If u know what i mean)
• Even though he is younger, he is always mistaken as my elder brother! Y? Cos i look younger (a good way of saying I'm much shorter and immature...Satisfied?)
• My guard (always so protective) and my chauffer (sometimes only!)
• Never give up a chance of annoying and irritates me...
• My family favourite boy (Mine too... Though he always smash me with his pillow and kick me), especially my 2nd aunt and granny.
  

Growing up with Didi

(In chinese Didi = younger brother)

• Pillow fights and he used me as a target for his Karate or was it Taekwando (which even that emphasis on kicks) training!
• Watching him play RPG. Personally i like FF8 the best..
• Going KTV and singing duet... I will sing the male section and he will sing the female part.
• Going Clubbing together
• My 21st Birthday where he bought me a huge cake (he never buys me anything for my birthday) that cost him S$100 plus. Was a sweet suprise...
• Always there for me during my break ups...
• Shielding me from more scolding from my parents (I do the same for him)
  

Chinese traditional parenting--- parents are always out of reach (Probably that's why my brother & me are so close), they plan your life for u, they never really become your friends and must always be treated with respect and always obey them. When kids dun listen,whack!Basically this is it.. My Parents...

Side Track
It's not that i always obey (i have my rebellious moments) them.. Just that my life is pretty much laid out nicely (Maybe the very reason why till now i dunno what i wanna do and what i like) by them. Very protective over me, reason? I'm a girl! It's natural for parents to be protective but in doing so i become very dependent and i don't know how's life outside the protective shield set by them. Well, guess its also my fault for always making them (not just my parents, even my brother) worried about me.

Anyway back to the main topic, like any other family, we have our little conflicts and major disagreements, fights and cold wars.... All in all, I love my Family alot and will never trade anything in the world for it.
